Real Installation
NP2K648 is built for a complete 48-port connection cycle: one NP2 cable manager paired with two SP24 Smart-Packs for forty-eight 2-foot CAT6 patch cables. It gives a dense 48-port switch or patch-panel installation a controlled cable length strategy without pushing excess cable into bulky vertical managers.
Step 1 — Eliminate Uncontrolled Excess Cable
NP2K648 uses the same controlled 2-foot cable length across all forty-eight connections. Each cable has the lateral reach needed across a standard 19-inch rack while leaving only a small, manageable service coil inside the NP2 instead of a large bundle in the vertical space.
Step 2 — Build the 48-Port Row as Two Matched Sets
Two SP24 Smart-Packs supply forty-eight matched 2-foot CAT6 patch cables for the complete 48-port row. Every connection follows the same cable-length strategy, which simplifies staging and prevents mixed-length patch cords from creating uneven bundles and wasted rack space.
Step 3 — Manage the Full 48-Port Density in One 2U Bay
NP2K648 combines the NP2 with all forty-eight patch cables required for a high-density 48-port installation. The controlled service coils stay inside the horizontal manager, preserving front-of-rack access, airflow and serviceability while keeping the cable plan consistent.
