SP24 attacks cable congestion before it starts. Each Smart Pack supplies twenty-four 2-foot CAT6 patch cables sized for the 24-port rack cycle, so technicians begin with controlled cable length instead of trying to hide unnecessary slack after installation.
Step 1 — Get Excess Cable Off the Rack Face
Long patch cords create loops and bundles that consume management capacity, obstruct access and complicate service. SP24 standardizes the patch length at 2 feet, dramatically reducing the amount of cable that has to be managed after the connection is made.
Step 2 — Route With Bend Radius in Mind
The 2-foot length supports normal lateral patching across a standard 19-inch rack while leaving only a controlled amount of service slack. NP1 and NP2 managers provide room for that slack to form proper bend-radius coils instead of being packed into narrow finger ducts.
Step 3 — Preserve Density and Serviceability
Using one standardized cable length across each 24-port section keeps routing consistent and predictable. Equipment faces remain accessible, airflow paths stay open, and technicians can trace or replace individual connections without digging through a wall of excess cable.
